Our new PC have policies which do not allow non admiin users to write to the program folder.
That appears to be where the print schemes are saved, so I cannot save my print schemes.
Is there somewhere in preferences where I can designate an alternative folder to save my schemes?

I am using (and loving) TP7

Thanks for the replies.
As an extra benefit can I have one instance addressing one database and the other instance addressing a 2nd database and drag files between windows? (My DB is reaching its practical limits!)

Thanks for the reply- it will be realy useful to open T+ in duplicate!
about losing files it was probably my own fault- the file transfer sat in a 'not responding' state for a long time so I used task manager to stop the application. Windows must have been interrupted while it was re-indexing or something.

am I able to launch T+7 pro in two adjacent windows without scrambling or jeopardising my database? (I did once lose a bunch of video files when trying to move them between folders using T+7- I think all the windows indexing must have got screwed.)

I'm thinking of splitting databases, having different dbs for different cayegories of images...

have a look at using the print catalogue options
you can set up the catalogue to print 1 image per page and allow enough extra lines under the image to accomodate the longest caption.
You can choose the font but control over nice formatting is limited.
Because the caption would come out directly under (almost touching) the image you may want to print another piece of empty data before the caption, so choose a field which you know has no data.
Hope this makes sense and hope it works with TP8 I use TP7
good luck
