Thank you, Daan.
That is exactly what I did already.
I check the JPG Compressed data in my ThumbsPlus 8
configuration and repeated them in my Version 10 program.
Everything works fine now.
Thank you very much, again!

Daan,
No!  'Load file using' has nothing in it.
I have ThumbsPlus 10, but not the Pro version.
Everything is OK when I use ThumbsPlus 8 Pro!
BTW, where is the last Pro version to download?
Do you know?
Thank you for you response!

I have been using ThumbsPlus 10 for several years now.
All of a sudden, today, I started getting this message whenever I try to view
some JPG images. This message is actually imbedded in the thumbs themselves:

This Format Requires ThumbsPlus Professional Edition

Please help.
Thank you!

Daan,
I did exactly what you said, but the resulting database was somehow corrupted.
Thank you very much.

If a ThumbsPlus 10 database has reached its maximum size, we cannot use it again. We cannot search for new words again. Can we reduce the size of it so that we can use it again? It does not search for new word again, because it cannot construct new thumbnails due to the maximum size.
Thank you.

I agreed with Daan that you cannot do it, because of
Ghostscript restrictions on the non-professional version. However,
you can do it very well without using Ghostscript at all for this particular function,
provided you have your own PDF viewer program.
The method works nicely with even the non-professional version
and, most probably, with all the recent previous versions of Thumbsplus.
However, I am not giving advice to anybody up here. I am only
mentioning below what I discovered on my computer after trying
a million different things.

Go to Preferences/File Types/Documents.
Then click on pdf - Adobe Acrobat.
Then click on Edit.
On the File Type Configuration window, enter
"None" in the "equivalent to type:" gadget,
"Document" in the "Category" gadget
and "Executable" in the "Class" gadget.
Then enter "Command" in the "Edit file using:" gadget
and to the right of ">>" the position of the executable PDF reader that is the
default reader on your computer. For example,

C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\AcroRd32.exe

That's it. You may replace that executable by any other PDF reader executable.
That could be, for example, the free PDF reader "SumatraPDF".
Naturally, the same method applies when you want to execute
any "executable" file with Thumbsplus that is associated with a thumbnail.
Thank you!

Previous message.
I cannot view PDF files by clicking. I have Thumbsplus 10, but not the professional version.
I have set up everything according to the directions I found up here.
I am using gs9.52 and gs8.64 for the position of the gsdll32.dll file.
When I use gs9.52, I get the following error:
"Plugin 'PDF' error: Unable to create Ghostscript instance (-100)".
When I use gs8.64, I get the following pasted on the PDF page:
"This Format Requires Thumbsplus Professional Edition".
Any help would be very much appreciated.
