Fair enough, but what use is it really? It doesn't support greater bitdepth than 8b/channel (which I think is unforgivable for a new general purpose graphics format) and the savings compared to JPG are only 30% or so. The imaging industry deperately needs a proper 48b JPEG replacement and this isn't it.
