Tool bar 'Menu Bar'
« on: 2014-10-11 01:37:24 »
Every time I double click on a thumbnail, I get the message, below.  It doesn't matter how I respond.  I happens every time.  How do I fix this?

"Due to a software update the toolbar 'Menu Bar' has changed. Would you like to reset your customized toolbar and load the new one?"

I'm sorry for the late response - this issue had been discussed several times before and I mistakenly thought that your message had been answered too. Please read this for what is likely the solution to your problem: http://forums.cerious.com/forum/index.php?id=210

.. no, that was the answer to a different problem! Still, it may be worth a try. If it doesn't help, I'd recommend reinstalling ThumbsPlus.

I reinstalled TP9 SP2 b3 but still have the same problem.  Then I uninstalled that and installed TP9 SP1 and also have the same problem.  How do I just get the normal "Menu" tool bar and not be asked if I want to change it every time I open a thumbnail?

THanks . . . Walt

Hi Walt,

I do not know the cause of this problem but it must be related to the file thumbs9.vconfig, which is where the viewer's interface settings are stored.

I'd try this:
[*]In TP9, go to Help | System Info ('Help' is at the far right of the menu)
[*]Note the folder shown as 'Preferences Path' near the bottom of this dialog.
    [*]Exit TP9
[*]Open Explorer and go to that folder.
[*]Delete the file thumbs9.vconfig (or rename it to thumbs9-vconfig.bak)
[*]Re-launch TP9 and open an image to see if the problem is gone now.
    [/list]
