Update with v10 Build 4003 not detected

Hello at Cerious,

I received an email avbout the availability of the new Build 4004

I was wondering about that, becaus I did not get an Information during start of Build 4003

I verified on a different Computer with the same result:

Build 4003 does not notify about a new available Version / Build 4004

My TP10 Build 2003 also did not detect that their is a new build. This is a problem on Cerious' side (they obviously "forgot" to do something). But you can download Build 2004 from their website, For my purposes TP10 Build 2004 is the first fully functional version of TP since TP7!

Due to many complaints over the years, we do not allow a detection every time there is a new build, especially if is a small update quickly following another.

If this is an issue let me know and we will consider your suggestions.

Hmm, not an issue. As you received complaints, keep it as it is

As long as I receive information about updates via email it's OK for me

One can manually set TP (Help | Program Updates) to check at pre-set times if the current version of the program is the most recent, or one can click on "Check now!". I suspect this is what Wolfgang was referring to (at least that is how I interpreted his query).

For several days after receipt of the e-mail announcing the release of Build 4004, Build 4003, when prompted to look for updates, would report that their are NO new updates.

I cannot check if that is still the case, because I have since updated to the most recent build. However, I would expect TP, when asked to check for a new version, to ALWAYS indicate if there is a more recent build or not.

I haven't updated from 4003 yet, so I have just checked and manually checking for updates does now report that 4004 is available.

However it doesn't seem to check automatically. I have auto check set to once per week, so it may not be a week since the upgrade flag at Cerious was set, so I will wait and see and report back.

Somebody said that something is wrong at Cerious. Yes, it is ME!

I don't know why or where that came from but when I asked Phillip about this last night he told me that he DOES intend that checks for updates are sent/received for each new build.

Sorry, human error.
