MOVIE FILE TYPE ISSUE:
ThumbsPlus and MOVIE files with extensions other than the norm:
If you can't even see empty thumbnail boxes for your movie files they most likely have an extension that ThumbsPlus is not set up for, YET!
To set up a new movie format that has an extension that is not included in Options>Preferences>File Types:
Go to Options>Preferences>File Types>New and type in the extension of these movie files.
Configure the new file type as "Equivalent to" .mpg.
I have attached an image that illustrates adding a new movie type and configuring it to be equal to the .mpg format.
