TP9 Sp1: How does Offline disks work
« on: 2014-08-02 02:53:23 »
Some time ago I moved part of my database to CD. This works perfectly using the manual "moving my Thumbsplus databse on to CD" available in the FAQ. Then I could see my CDs under "Offline CDROMs".
Now I want to move part of my database to a USB disk. I tried the same procedure as for CD but this seems not to work. I don't see anything unter the folder "Offline Disks". What  I have done wrong?

In Windows, an external USB harddisk is not a removable medium like a CDROM or a USB memory stick. It's considered a regular harddrive. When you have made thumbnails for images on the drive, it will appear as a local disk in the tree. When you disconnect it, it will still appear there, but grayed out.
