ThumbsPlus Suggestions / webp support please!
« on: 2016-01-18 02:57:13 »
I'm sure there are a whole bunch of formats out there (with ThumbsPlus support) that are of little use to some people, but are just right for whatever purpose to another group of people.

I'm not going to argue the validity of any format's existence, rather the fact that an all purpose graphics database/editor should ideally support as many formats as possible.

webp supports 24 bits per channel plus an 8 bit alpha channel, more than sufficient for its purpose as a web image container; hence the name.

Thanks Daan. I was aware of that but I admit I should have detailed my request more clearly:

FULL webp support please!

I'm not sure exactly how long webp has been around, but it's been a while; certainly long enough for ThumbsPlus to start taking it ceriously (!)

Cheers,
Jay

webp support would be appreciated.

Thank you very much!

I have removed all of the 'special folders' from showing up in the folder tree in Preferences>Disks and folders.

Does anybody know if there's also a way to remove these from the favorites menu?

Cheers,
Jay

ThumbsPlus v7-v9 Questions / ThumbPlus9 SP1 Beta3 Issues
« on: 2014-01-14 21:26:12 »
- Undo doesn't always immediately update the view window.
- Overall performance feels entirely sluggish.

Hopefully these are all just beta quirks. If these issues persist through into the SP1 release version, I'll be reverting back to the tried and trusted V7SP2.

Cheers,
Jay

- Custom toolbar in view window always shows large icons. Unchecking the "large icons" option does not stick.
- resizing or zooming a view window repositions it to the top left corner of the screen.
- How about including support for the WebP image format?

Cheers,
Jay
