Cannon S95 Powershot HD Videos Won't Play

I just upgraded ThumbsPlus to V9 after buying a laptop with Windows 8. My Cannon HD videos will NOT play. I also tried installing the latest Digicam software and V9 Beta 3 build 3933, and still the videos will not play. Quicktime plays the videos fine and Thumbs plays videos from older cameras OK.  Has anyone else seen Cannon video problems?

I have had a support issue open since Dec. 14 (Cerious Case 1284487) and have never had the courtesy of even a basic response. I've been running Thumbs since V5 and have never been ignored by Support like this. Anyone else having support problems?

A new release of V9, and you say your spending time in the Forum, but still no response!
