Database opening as "READONLY"
« on: 2017-10-04 15:17:14 »
I just reinstalled ThumbsPlus 10 (SP1, Build 4011) after doing a clean reinstall of Windows 10 on my PC. When I start T+ and open my image database, I'm seeing some strange things:

* The database name shown at the top of the screen is correct but has ("READONLY)" appended at the end.

* Many options are grayed out, presumably because of the read-only status

* Thumbnails for many images that I've deleted in the past (previous install) are displayed

I have looked through Preferences and can't find any options that would affect opening the database as read-only. Any suggestions on how to get this working normally?

Note: I was careful to keep the paths to the database and image files unchanged when I performed the reinstalls.

Thanks.

Problem solved. Turns out that reinstalling Windows 10 reclassified all files as read-only! Via "properties" (from the Windows file tree) I was able to change the permissions on the T+ database file to "full control" and now the program appears to be working normally.
