Recent Files not disappearing
« on: 2011-07-06 23:26:03 »
Hi all,

I just ditched TP6 for a fresh copy of TP8SP1 [3537]

AFAIC everything works smooth. Thanks to this forum I finally could start TP8, I had the crash-on-start-issue.

The status bar problem in view mode is inconvenient but really not a problem.

Anyway, one thing does really bother me.

I unchecked all the items under Preferences -> Privacy and hit the "Clear all" to finish cleaning up.

File -> View recent stays filled, even new items drop in.

I closed down TP8 and went into thumbs8.ini to have a look. I deleted the entried found under "FolderHistory" and "FileHistory". While in the .ini I cross-checked the history settings under [Privacy], everthing was set to zero.

I saved the .ini, restarted TP8, recent files were gone.

After that I opened some photos and again, View recent was filled.

I tried the above Operations using my user account as well as using the administrative account.

Any Idea?

Greetings

Stephan

PS.: Short system wrapup:
Windows 7 Home Premium x64 w/ 4GB RAM @ Intel Core i5-750
ThumbsPlus 8 Home SP1 Build 3537, installed in administrative context, in use

Thanks for reporting this, I can see the same behavior on my system here. This is a bug that needs to be fixed in a future release.
