TP7 Gamma Correction won't apply to the file
« on: 2015-05-15 22:24:48 »
When I select Image/Adjust Colors/Gamma, make my Adjustment with the slider, and hit OK, it just goes back to the way it was before I made the adjustment on the slider. I've tried doing it manually on a single file, and I've tried batch processing. I've tried saving the file (.tif extracted from a .pdf) as a .jpg and running it on the .jpg, to no avail.

I'm trying to gamma correct scanned sheet music so that a tiff-import feature on my notation software (Finale 2005) will recognize it as music. The original scans are pretty light, but the preview in thumbs seems to suggest that I could get it dark enough, if I could just get the change to apply

Any thoughts?

I've never had problems with that function in TP7 sp2..

Are these 24b (8b per channel) images? That's what gamma is intended for, so maybe this is one of those functions that doesn't work with other bit depths. Use Image | Mode in the Viewer/Editor to adjust if necessary.
