How can I get thumbsplus v10sp1[4011] to recognize paint.net's pdn extension?

I don't think .pdn images are supported.

You can still make the files visible, for instance by clicking on the funnel button above the thumbnail listing and selecting 'all files' instead of 'selected types'. Or go to Options | Preferences | File Types and make a definition for them, so they'll also appear when the regular 'selected types' filter is active. However, when you try to create thumbnails for them, you'll probably get a generic icon from the application to which they are associated in Windows, in this case paint.net (that's what TP does when it tries to thumbnail unsupported files).

When you make a definition for this file type, you'll want to use these values:

Equivalent to type: (none)
Category: Image
Class: Raster
Load File Using: I'd try all values available here, in case one of them works.
