YES! This has been bugging me a LOT!

There also seems to be problems with files that are created, copied or restored from outside of TP. If I restore from the Recycle bin the file does not get added automatically. I have to click on another folder or refresh.

I think Alt+Bksp works, too. But like you, I miss all the old ones from V7.

I've asked for this MANY times. Shouldn't be too hard to fix?

Hi,

In one of the deleted messages there was a discussion about how to add file types. Some of the file types I had added were removed every time I updated TP. Somebody (I forgot who, sorry!) told me to just add the lines to Thumbs9.typ. This only worked partially, and there was a discussion about sorting the lines and deleting some lines.

Now I think I have found the bug. V9 seems to only allow 200 lines in Thumbs9.typ! Anything beyond that is simply ignored. So I just add the lines I want, and then I remove lines I don't need until I get under 200.

Shouldn't be too hard to fix this bug?

Hi Connie,

I was like you. I downloaded, but immediately uninstalled, EVERY beta and everything else for V8 and V9. But the final V9 release actually worked for me! I will post about that in a separate mail, but they clearely put some effort into the final release. Since they have put in some effort in trying to fix it, I will try to help them by testing it carefully, so I will switch to V9.

I don't know what your problems have been with V8 and V9B, but I suggest you give the final V9 release a chance.

Hi,

I'm having some problems making thumbnails for m4v files in V7. I've added it as filetyp mpeg, and I have the necessary codecs on my Windows 7 system, so that I get thumbnails in Explorer. If I open the file and hit F3, I get a thumbnail, but not if I hit F3 without opening the file.

Any suggestions?
